About the author
public figure and a mentor with a mission
With a personal story with which many can identify, Darrin says, “As a kid I was skinny. But I wanted to change.” So he did. He began to lift weights. In high school, he discovered his athletic abilities through participating in track, cross country and wrestling. When he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, Darrin explains, “My athletic capabilities enabled me to max out my physical training tests and maintain my athleticism.” After the Marines, he became a body builder and personal trainer & a mma coach. “I believe that fitness is a way to discipline yourself to achieve all your goals in life.”
From the Mat to the Marines
His journey started in the high school wrestling room—sweat, blood, and the brutal lessons of pushing through pain. He sharpened his edge with Kempo Karate, learning control, timing, and the fierce precision that only martial arts can deliver. But it was the United States Marine Corps where his foundation was sealed.

effort over entitlement, and legacy over likes
To help young athletes navigate life’s battles using the same tools he used to survive—and thrive—in the Marines, on the mat, and in the cage.
